Acoustophoresis- handling and sorting cells without contact

We have developed a sole-in-class technology that uses the  acoustic strength (ultrasonic waves) generated between the walls of a  channel to handle and sort particles and cells without contact.

Where are we in cell therapy process?

The Aenitis team has successfully developed and patented an  acoustophoresis-based approach applied to milifluidic scales to address  cell sorting and handling challenges in biotechnology applications.

Cell Source

- Human or animal
- Autologous, allogenic or xeno. In vitro or in vivo, fresh or cryopreserved

Cell Manufacturing

Separation / Purification
- Culture
- Washing
- Gene Editing
- Expansion
- Quality control

Treatment to patient

- Injection
- Transplant
- Transfusion

WHY IS ACOUSTIC NEEDED?

Innovative techniques must be simple to implement, soft and efficient.

The  challenges associated with the handling or sorting of biological  products led researchers around the world to find alternatives to  traditional techniques such a centrifugation.

CELL THERAPY IS A NEW GOLD RUSH IN THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY.

To address the challenges in this field, we have developed

1. Contactless

3. Low Induced Force

1. Contactless

Acoustophoresis uses acoustic radiation forces, also known as « acoustic  levitation, » as volumetric forces to handle cells. This approach  allows for the manipulation of cells without any contact.
